Captain Bill Savidge
I am originally from San Diego and was hooked on fishing by the age of 6 when I would go on trips with my dad and grandfather. Early on I would fish the rocky cliffs and beaches that dotted the coast and quickly got into spearfishing. Some of the best fishing in the world was right out my back door and I knew right away on the water is where I wanted to be. By the age of 13 I started working on commercial charter boats as a Boat Mate and by the age of 20 I had my Captain’s License and was running Charter Trips on my own. I started my commercial fishing career running trips into Mexican waters from Cabo San Lucas and south. In the late 1990’s I wanted to fish the east coast for a spell and landed in Florida where I was a Captain, lead Charter Trips, and honed my skills. The last several years I have spent here in the Carolina Lowcountry teaching the young and old about fishing coastal South Carolina.
